Tama is a Tāmaki Makaurau painter drawn to the raw energy of Auckland’s west coast and the easy colour of a New Zealand summer. He works fast and physically, with palette knives and bold acrylic, chasing the movement of surf, sand and pōhutukawa in bloom.
